Emergency Medical Services
Since 2012, the Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship has had one Medical Dispatch Centre at the Voivodeship Ambulance Station in Olsztyn. Notifications are received by medical dispatchers, who carry out a medical interview, qualify the call, establish priorities and immediately dispose of specialist or basic medical rescue teams closest to the incident site. Dispatchers receive around 1,000 calls a day from people calling the 999 emergency number and dispose of medical rescue teams to around 360 incidents across the Warmian-Masurian voivodeship.
And it is for them that we are currently working on the preparation of application documentation for the project entitled ‘Support for the State Medical Rescue System with regard to investments in infrastructure and the retrofitting of dispatching centres and the development of radio communication infrastructure’, as part of the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, Environment 2021- 2027 programme. The aim of the project is to improve the functioning of the State Medical Rescue system by modernising the infrastructure of the Medical Dispatch Centre and improving the radio communication system, which will enable faster and more effective coordination of medical rescue teams. Planned investments include the expansion of technical infrastructure, the purchase of modern equipment and the introduction of innovative technological solutions that will contribute to increased safety and efficiency of rescue operations.
Our tasks include: preparation of a feasibility study with the necessary appendices and analyses, including a financial analysis, and substantive support in the process of submitting and evaluating the application documentation.
We are pleased to be able to contribute to improving the safety of residents and at the same time support the development of the emergency medical services infrastructure. Thanks to this project, it will be possible to increase the reliability and speed of emergency teams, which is crucial in situations where every second counts.
Our involvement in the preparation of documentation and support in the application process for European Funds gives a real chance of obtaining funding, which will enable the effective implementation of all the project objectives and increase the level of safety in the region.
