Extension of ITS in Opole

The Intelligent Traffic and Public Transport Management System aims to improve travelling conditions for residents and to facilitate transit traffic. Improved travel conditions apply both to public transportation modes - buses, by assisting traffic through intersections with traffic lights on major routes, as well as by smoothing traffic flow in the city center and on the city's ring road.

And in this regard, on behalf of the Municipal Road Administration in Opole, we are carrying out a project entitled "Future-oriented documentation. Execution of a functional-utility program for the task: Extension of the ITS system Opole in the design and build formula”. The documentation will be used in the future to conduct a tender procedure for the expansion of the ITS system existing in Opole for 2 years. The scope of future work includes functional and territorial expansion of the already implemented solution, including, for example, new traffic signals with video monitoring or additional variable message signs.

The implementation of these tasks will have a significant impact on improving communication and traffic flow on Opole's roads, which will increase the comfort of travel for residents and people travelling through the city.
