New Warsaw Ticket System – Cooperation with ZTM

Major changes are coming to Warsaw's public transport system – a new ticketing system is being prepared for implementation, and after nearly 30 years, the capital city will change the way it pays for public transport. The contractor for the modern ticketing system has already been selected, and ThinkIT has prepared a technical and organizational model for the ticketing system as part of previous contracts for the Warsaw Public Transport Authority (ZTM) and provided comprehensive consulting services related to supporting ZTM in the process of announcing and conducting a tender procedure for the selection of a contractor. 

Now it is time for the next stage of consulting activities – we are pleased to announce that our experts will be providing comprehensive consulting services in the area of supervision and control of the implementation of the Warsaw Ticket System (WSB) over the next few years.

Our task will be to support ZTM in key areas related to the implementation of a modern ticketing system for residents and public transport users in the capital. The scope of cooperation includes, among others:

  • assessment of the implemented technical solutions in terms of their effectiveness, security, functionality and interoperability,
  • analysis of the compliance of the implementation process with the adopted project methodology and schedule,
  • providing opinions on the documentation necessary for the proper implementation of the project,
  • providing substantive support to the Ordering Party during the acceptance of subsequent stages of the WSB, including participation in acceptance tests and documentation reviews.

This cooperation gives us an opportunity to use our knowledge and experience in the area of IT project supervision and the development of intelligent solutions for public transport. Our expert, Adam Kruczek, has been involved in transport projects for many years, particularly in areas related to intelligent transport systems (ITS) and ticketing systems. We are confident that his knowledge and experience will be put to good use in our cooperation with Warsaw's ZTM.
